John Brent Lockwood, age 68, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, June 20, 2024, at his home. He was born October 2, 1955, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Raymond Starcher and Rosaline Sponaugle Lockwood. On August 1, 1975, he married Nancy Lynn Tracy who survives. John is also survived by one daughter, Jamella Lockwood of Buckhannon; two sons, John Brent Lockwood II and Ryan Starcher Lockwood and wife, Taryn, all of Buckhannon; nine grandchildren, Parker Raymond Lockwood, Emma Clare and Isla Grace Lockwood, Rosaline, Tré and Nora Shackleford, Alexis and Jon McDaniels, all of Buckhannon; and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Lockwood and one sister Julia Ann Lockwood. Mr. Lockwood was a Registered Forester and the owner of Flamco Inc. and Rosewood Lumber Company. Friends will be received Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
