First, I would like to say that Charlotte's obituary was beautifully written and the picture is gorgeous. She was indeed very talented, a wonderful mother and homemaker, a very special teacher, and such a sweet soul. To me, she was a very special cousin. She was such an inspiration, and I would tell her so during our phone conversations. In spite of her medical condition and her own pain, she would always turn the attention away from herself and would be concerned about others. When my mother's health was failing, Charlotte would call her and would send her flowers. This meant so much to Mom and to all of us.
As the obituary stated so well, she did not abandon her faith even when she must have felt frustration at times. The last time I spoke with her, she told me that she continued to pray for a miracle, and she believed God would grant it. She wanted to walk again. God doesn't always answer prayers in our time. Sometimes they are according to His plan for our lives. I can picture our sweet Charlotte walking ... no, running ... in Heaven and singing with the angels.
To all of the family, David and I offer our heartfelt condolences. We know the days ahead will not be easy, but we hope you will picture her in her new state of glory. She loved you all so much and would not want you to suffer with grief.
