My memory of Aunt Leona will always be
When Dad and Mom took us to Canada with
Uncle Butch.
Aunt Leona must have told
Us or showed us the store to buy food, anyway
Paul and I were about eight or nine so Fred was six
And we saw this Indian outside that looked like a
Statue, Paul said he is real, I said no he is not
There are no real Indians here, I poked him on his
Chest and he did not move, so I felt he was just a
Statue, however we went back into the store and
Guess who walked in on the other side of the store
We thought he was coming after us so we stayed close
To Mom, I have gotten smarter as I am older, Make sure statues
Are statures before you poke them in the chest
My apologies for not being able to be at the visitation or
Funeral but know that my thoughts and prayers are with
