To the Harkins family,
What can I say...Mark was a special person who touched many lives while here at ERCC. He became friends with a lot of people here. He always would remember specific things about people and ask about them. Every day, without fail he ask me how my grandson was doing and would ask how tall he had gotten. Other people he would ask about their pet, child,etc.... He always came to my office door with the same three jokes every day...He was funny and kind. He always talked fondly of his family, using his unique nicknames for them. He had a quick wit and knew trivia that I would have never known. He could also be ornery at times and when you told him he was being ornery, he would give you that sly grin. He loved the Holidays as I did and he loved holiday decor as did I. He loved a good sale in the gift shop and love to tell everyone what he paid for the item he purchased. He will be dearly missed. I miss him checking in by my office door every day. But also I know how he adored his mother....he is now with her and Jesus. I hope heaven is filled with "polysilk flowers" which Mark adored. I will miss his visitation and service due to work obligation, but my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mark was so special. He wandered the neighborhood dropping by looking for praying mantis and dinosaur eggs. He loved my cat, my children and my "long flowing hair". His life changed when he was in a car accident and couldn't do his walks. He would light up whenever we visited. He will be an angel. He had a heart of gold. He will be missed.

Mark will always have a special place in my heart. I loved to hear him laugh. When I would visit him at ERCC, he would always say, Do you have my Kentucky Fried Chicken and Sweet Tea. He always wanted to be an angel. So many times he would tell me I just want to be an angel. Well Mark, you finally got your wish. You have been given that new body now you can run and play with the angels. I am sorry that I can not be with you during this time, but you will be covered with my prayers.
Fly high Mark. You have earned your angel wings.
Grace and Peace
Stella
