My heart is broken to hear of Frank's passing. Frank was my bowling teammate and friend. He had a heart bigger than I could ever imagine was possible. I will miss him terribly. Our friendship will forever live in my heart.
Sending many prayers to his family and many friends.

So very sorry to hear. He was such a great man who only ever had the capacity to lend a helping hand. One of the silliest memories I had of Frank was during one of our Annual Training events at Camp Dawson, Kingwood, WV several years back. We were talking about technology and smart phones, and Frank pulled out an old flip phone, the kind with an extendable antenna. Granted, he lit the room up with laughter because technology was several years after the flip phone. Frank didn’t care, because it still worked for him.
Gist of it is, no matter what was going on around him, Frank always stayed true to himself. That’s how I’ll choose to remember him.

Shocked & saddened don't even begin to describe how I felt upon hearing about the passing of my friend, Frank. Always a gentleman with one of the kindest hearts of anyone I have ever met.
Frank was not only kind to everyone around him, he was also known for his love & compassion for animals, especially cats. Frank & his late mother, Evelyn, were always feeding & helping care for the strays that were often dumped out along the road by their home.
Arthur Schopenhauer is known for having said that "Compassion for animals is intimately associated with goodness of character, and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good man." Using that measure, Frank Karickhoff was truly a great man & he will be truly missed.

I would like send my condolence to the family. Frank and I were classmates, coworkers and service members. We preformed so many Color Guards together. Frank would give the shirt off his back. You will always be in my heart. Rest in Peace.

Bobby and family,
I was sorry to hear of Frank's passing. I got to know Frank when I worked at Acme bookstore with his Mom Evelyn when I was going to college years ago and we would chat at the bowling alley when my husband bowled on league night. He was such a sweet caring person. Rest in Peace my friend. Libby (Lofton) Abel
