Wild Bill from Jackson’s Mill never worked and will long live Wild Bill this is a greeting that I would always say when we ran into each other one time Bill & his brother Davey was hitch hiking back to Weston and my mom and her friend stopped & picked them up my mom later told me how nice & polite they were I think,my mom knew the family Sue & my oldest sister (Barbara) were friends he will be missed my condolences to the family
Many of us have wonderful memories of Bill. One that stands out was an impromptu weekend gathering at the swimming hole up at Wildcat. Sitting around the campfire, singing, Bill and friends playing the music, laughter, joints being passed to the left and right, midnight swimming, beer and wine, everyone crowding in tent to sleep a few hours and start again. One memory I have of Bill was singing along to a Bob Dylan song “You Ain’t Going Nowhere.” He was a fine musician and a kind soul. I know his brother Dave greeted him with open arms in heaven. Prayers for the family for guidance and strength.
I'm almost sure this is the JIm Halterman I sang and worked with back in the late 60s early 70s. He gave me a pearl I still have today. There was so many of us in music from this local area. I recorded several records in Nashville Tennesse. But thought a lot of Jim.
