Denver L. Koon

Denver L. Koon, age 66, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born April 18, 1952, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Richard L. Koon and Hazel Jean Brake Rexroad. He is survived by his former wife, Dorothy Louise Koon of Buckhannon; two brothers, Michael W. Koon and wife Mary of Buckhannon and Gary L. Koon and wife Barbara of Beverly, WV; one sister, Donna Davis and husband Tom of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Koon was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church in Buckhannon. He worked 27 years as a driller on a strip-mining job and was a truck driver for 10 years after. Mr. Koon loved the Lord, camping and fishing. Denver was a peaceful man who kept no record of wrongs. Friends will be received Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 4:30 to 6 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. In honoring Mr. Koon’s wishes, he will be cremated. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
