I worked with Joyce at Hospiceof Volusia Flagler. She always cheered you up when you were down. Once she gave me a plant pot full of lemon seeds, most grew. I had her take one to her new house on the west coast and every year she would have Jerry stand next to the Lemon tree and compare how the tree had grown. She had the green thumb and it outgrew mine. When she would visit Daytona she would bring a rock from her new place. I feel like she wanted to bring a large lump of shiney coal from West Virginia but never made it. Joyce died on the day that I was having major surgery. I wish I had called her before my operation, a regret that, I think she understands on the other side. She didn’t want to leave the kids.
Goodbye my friend.
Love. Helen.
