Lloyd D. Arbogast, age 82, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at his home under the care of People’s Hospice. He was born January 24, 1932 in Valley Head, WV, a son of the late Lawrence and Carrie Susan McCloud Arbogast. On March 11, 1965 he married Lois Chidester who survives. Also surviving are one son, Matthew Arbogast and wife Jennifer of Buckhannon; three daughters, Lisa Orsburn and Betty Davis and husband Tom all of Buckhannon and Lora Bragg and husband Tim of French Creek, WV; three grandsons, Dalton and Logan Bragg both of French Creek and Zachary Joseph Orsburn and Amber Reed of Buckhannon; five granddaughters, Carly and McKenzie Arbogast, Sheena Jordan and husband Gary and Whitney and Mariah Orsburn all of Buckhannon; two great grandsons, Andrew Orsburn and Gary Lynn “Bubby” Jordan both of Buckhannon; four sisters, Virgie Wilfong of Valley Head, Bertha Hewitt and husband John and Janet Gregory and husband Dewayne all of Buckhannon and Mata Ash and husband Carl of MO and two brothers, Ralph Arbogast and wife Judy of OH and Don Arbogast and wife Betty of KS. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Lloyd was saved on January 8, 1989. He loved serving the Lord, singing and playing his harp in the choir and always telling others of God’s wonderful love. He was a member of Independent United Brethren Church of Buckhannon. He was a former coal miner for Upshur Coals Corp. Lloyd loved hunting, fishing and gardening when he was in good health. He will be sadly missed by his family. Friends will be received Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Junior Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Church Cemetery in Canaan, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
