untitled3 David Palchik David Palchik, 90, of Buckhannon, WV died on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at his home under the care of People’s Hospice. He was born on August 28, 1921 in the Bronx, New York, the son of the late Charles and Rose Weiss Palchik. On August 20, 1949 he married Margaret Trapnell Palchik who survives. Also surviving is one son David A. Palchik of Southbury, CT, his wife Kathy and their son Daniel Palchik and his wife Meryem of Greenwich, CT; his daughters, Dr. Kelly Palchik and her husband Andrew Chin of Bangor, ME and Whitney Palchik of Southbury, CT and his great grandson, Gabriel Palchik of Southbury, CT. Also surviving is his daughter, Kittie Lee and her husband Ronald G. of French Creek, WV and their sons Ronald G. Lee II and Michael Lee also of French Creek. Mr. Palchik was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Buckhannon. He served in the US Navy during WWII and received an honorable discharge. He was a Professional Mechanical Engineer with Combustion Engineering for 37 years earning several patents over the tenure of his employment. During his retirement he supported many worthwhile causes, was very active member of the churches he belonged to and was a devoted husband and father. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Big Bend Cemetery in French Creek, WV. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and the Child Fund International. Graveside Service Friday, June 29, 2012 1PM Big Bend Cemetery
