BlairDeBarr Basel Blair DeBarr Basel Blair DeBarr, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at his home. He was born May 19, 1920 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Ira and Orla Linger DeBarr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Blaine DeBarr. He is survived by one sister, Reta D. Long; two nephews, James Long and wife Sharon of Coatesville, PA and Rolland Long and wife Lisa of Hampton, VA; several great nieces and a great nephew. Mr. DeBarr was a social worker for the DHHR. He graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1940, served in the U. S. Army from 1942-1946 and graduated from A-B College in 1949. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Frank B. Bartlett Post #7 American Legion and Pringle Tree Chapter #5 DAV. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Friday, November 24, 2006 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard McGuire and the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, WV. VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7, American Legion and DAV Chapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside.
