Obituary of Nelson Gail Chidester

Nelson Gail Chidester Nelson Gail Chidester, age 59, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at his home. He was born June 6, 1956 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Charles Daris and Millie Irene Wilson Chidester. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Patricia Chidester and one nephew, Randall “Bubby” Chidester. He is survived by one son, Brandon Chidester and Misty Lantz of French Creek, WV; two daughters, Jamie Weaver and husband Sam of Lugoff, SC and Lindsay Messenger and Jason Detamore of French Creek; grandsons, Cameron, Jacob and Kaleb; granddaughters, Acacia, Emily, Chloe and Kinleigh; his beloved dog Daisy; five brothers, Ralph Miller and wife Betty of Buckhannon, Charles “Sonny” Chidester and wife Brenda of Rock Cave, WV, Randy, Mark and Rick Chidester and wife Tammy all of Abbott, WV; four sisters, Phyllis Conrad of Roanoke, WV, Rita Rice and husband Tom of French Creek, Cheryl “Sherry” Gaunt and husband Gary and Karen Miller and husband Steve all of Abbott. Numerous loving nieces and nephews. Nelson was a truck driver for Harper Lumber and he loved to be outdoors from gardening and camping to riding four wheelers. A memorial dinner will be held 12:30 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Rock Cave Independent Baptist Church Meeting Hall in Rock Cave, WV. Anyone who is unable to attend, may join the family for a memorial service at a later date. For information on the memorial service please contact the immediate family.
