Charles Elmer Campbell Charles Elmer Campbell, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his home. He was born September 20, 1934 in Lillian, Barbour County, WV, eldest child of the late Elmer Isaac and Bessie Mae Criss Campbell. He was proud of his Appalachian heritage and the fact that he was born in the same log cabin in which his grandfather Criss and his mother Bessie were born. He leaves a family legacy of love. On October 7, 1960 he married Margaret Kyle who survives. Also surviving are one son, Mark Campbell and wife Cindy of Buckhannon; two daughters, Melanie Campbell of Mabie, WV and Mary Abel and husband Wayne of Haymarket, VA; two grandsons, Nathaniel Andrew and Benjamin Isaac Abel both of Haymarket; one granddaughter, Rebecca Anne Abel of Haymarket; two step grandsons, Brandon Reed and Meagan of Buckhannon and Michael Ware and Danielle of Lewisburg, WV; two step granddaughters, Sheena Pumphrey and Travis and Tameka Ware and Ty all of Buckhannon; four great-grandsons, Nekotah Laken Ware, Brayden Darrell Reed, Wesley Sawyer Hoover and Wadelynn Donald Bennett all of Buckhannon; one great-granddaughter, Mahala Rae Pumphrey of Buckhannon; one sister, Patsy Ann Rickard and husband Jesse of Parkersburg, WV; one brother, Rick Campbell and wife Shannon of Elkins, WV; two nephews, Greg Campbell of Morgantown, WV and Phillip Rickard of TN and special family member, Clorinda Jean Reed of Charleston, WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Delaine Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a certified ASE Master Technician and Machinist. He owned Campbell’s Auto Repair Shop, Inc. His career spanned 50 plus years in the automotive repair business and was frequently referred to as “the best mechanic in….”, and always a FORD man. Friends will be received Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Delbert Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV.
