Obituary of Mary Jane Carr

Mary Jane Carr Mary Jane Carr Mary Jane Carr, age 100, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at her home. She was born November 2, 1914 in Barbour County, WV, a daughter of the late Lyda Delbert and Statira Pearl Lesure Suder. On September 3, 1942 she married Daniel Wester Carr who preceded her in death on September 26, 1978. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Climmer Suder and one sister, Mertie Nuzum. She is survived by three sons, Roma Wilson and wife Louise of Bridgeport, WV, Delbert Carr and wife Diane of Parsons, WV and Herbert Carr and wife Yvette of Philippi, WV; three daughters, Saundra Butler and husband Robert of Parkersburg, WV, Kay Bailey and husband Glen of Buckhannon and Renee Small and husband Richard of Mt. Nebo, WV; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Carr was a homemaker and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Carr was a Blair sales person and also worked at Wee Care Daycare Center. Mary raised and sold Poodles for many years. She loved to garden and farm. Friends will be received Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Cutright officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Cemetery in Belington, WV.
