untitled2 Karen Ann Phipps Karen Ann Phipps, age 43, of French Creek, WV died Thursday, September 8, 2011 in Orlando, FL. She was born November 21, 1967 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of Berlin Huffman of Buckhannon and Emma Summers Cutright of Buckhannon. On November 22, 1995 she married Patrick Phipps who survives. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her step mother Carolyn Huffman; several nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Huffman; step father, Stewart “Red” Cutright; maternal grandparents, Clay Summers and Dolly Humphrey Summers; paternal grandparents, Elbert Lee Huffman and Beatrice Tenney Huffman and step paternal grandmother, Rachel Bond Huffman. Karen was a housekeeper and a Personal Assistant for a local Professor and she enjoyed working in her flower garden and working with crafts. Friends will be received Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Clara Peggs and the Rev. Carol Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Camp Cemetery at French Creek. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
