Obituary of Willa Jean Caynor

Caynor, Willa Willa Jean Caynor Willa Jean Caynor, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, December 5, 2014 at Talbott’s Personal Care Home in Belington, WV. She was born June 14, 1929 in Montrose, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Monroe and Minnie Anglin Rucker. On May 21, 1949 she married Thirl E. Caynor who preceded her in death on June 17, 2002. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Beaulah Hart and Margaret Rucker; infant brother, Charles Edward Rucker; half-sister, Nellie Roach and half-brother, Gratin “Jack” Rucker. She is survived by two daughters, Chulita “Chickey” Cable and husband Bob of Buckhannon and Holly Baker and husband Matthew of Davis, WV; one son, Darius Caynor of Norton, WV; two granddaughters, Melanie Miller and Derek Kyle of Belington and Mindi Principi and husband Kelly of Charlotte, NC; three grandsons, Kurt Wagoner and wife Nicole, Scott Wagoner and wife Michele all of Buckhannon and Steve Caynor and wife Tammie of Norton, WV; five great-granddaughters, Makenzie and Megyn Wagoner both of Buckhannon, Chelsea, Lexie and Keisha Caynor all of Norton; four great-grandson, Stevie Caynor of Norton, Dakota Wagoner of Buckhannon, Ryan Principi of Charlotte and Bryar Kyle of Belington; one niece, Shirley Bunner and husband Hobert of Bridgeport, WV; one nephew, Tom Hart and wife Marie of Morgantown, WV and fourteen foster children. Mrs. Caynor was a homemaker and a member of the Sand Run Baptist Church. She loved her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren called her “Nanny Willie” and “Nan”. Willa loved writing poetry, remodeling houses, feeding birds and having flowers around her home. Mrs. Caynor was the last surviving member of her immediate family. The family would like to thank the staff at Talbott’s Personal Care Home in Belington. Friends will be received Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Excelsior, WV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 2272 Vegan Road Buckhannon, WV 26201. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
