untitled2 Ina L. Perry Ina L. Perry, age 69, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV. She was born September 11, 1941 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late James D. and Arlyne L. Metzner Zickefoose. On June 6, 1964 she married Wayne M. Perry who survives. Also surviving is one daughter, Jeanette L. Perry of Buckhannon; two brothers, Lynn Zickefoose and wife Freda of OH and Randy Zickefoose and wife Wanda of Buckhannon; three sisters, Donette Clifford and husband Bob of Rutland, MA, Corrine Wamsley and husband Larry of Buckhannon and Joanna Posey and husband John of Weston, WV; five sisters in law, Celia Tenney and husband Conrad of French Creek, WV, Beulah Phillips and husband Clayton of Buckhannon, Wilma Nienke of Nitro, WV, Evelyn Gower and husband Pat of Buckhannon and Nancy Lavy of Charleston, WV and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Perry was a member of the Retired School Employees. She grew up in the Lorentz United Methodist Church. She is presently a member of the Nay Chapel United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Youth Group and Choir; and was the treasurer of the Nay Chapel United Methodist Church. She graduated from BUHS in 1959 and participated in the monthly class luncheons. She graduated from WVWC in 1963 with a degree in Home Economics. She worked at WVWC in the Registrar’s Office, later she worked as a Teacher’s Aide for the Title I Program at the Washington District Elementary School, retiring in 2001. She enjoyed RV camping, traveling in the US and overseas, traveling to Hawaii, Germany, Canada and Alaska. She was an excellent seamstress and crafter, was an avid 4-H’er, being awarded the Charting Pin and the All Star Pin, was 4-H Leader of the Union Panthers 4-H Club and helped the Upshur County 4-H Leaders Assoc. with strawberry shortcake during festival time and the frozen foods program. She also enjoyed water aerobics at the Belington Wellness Center. She was an inspiration to everyone she met and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Assoc., 4-H All Stars Assoc., Upshur Co. Parish House or Lewis- Upshur Humane Society.
