Obituary of Wilda A. Clark

Wilda A. Clark Wilda A. Clark Wilda A. Clark, age 95, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Serenity Care Home in Buckhannon. She was born August 10, 1918 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late James Garfield and Martha Miles Wilfong. On July 9, 1937 she married Ray William Clark who preceded her in death on January 23, 1993. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her infant daughter and one sister, Irene Hall. Surviving are two daughters, Susan Long and husband Patrick of Buckhannon and Charlotte Dugar and husband Jim of Newark, DE; three granddaughters, Kara Hall and husband Duane of Bear, DE, Kelly Moran of Matthews, NC and Jessica Long of Huntington, WV; three grandsons, Todd Dugar and wife Jill of Middletown, DE, James Long and wife Sarah of Charleston, WV and Jonah Long and wife Terri of Hermitage, PA; twelve great grandchildren; three sisters, Jo Wilfong Booth and husband Wayne of Callabash, NC, Sue Wilfong Gum of Traverse City, MI and Jeanne Wilfong Ours and husband David of Ashburn, VA; two brothers, Karl Wilfong and wife Roberta of Biloxi, MS and James Wilfong and wife Fran of Newark and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Clark was a member of the First United Methodist Church and their Lois Circle in Buckhannon and the Teter CEO’s. Wilda was a store keeper. She loved to laugh, shop, dance, bake, and garden. Many will remember her for her famous chocolate pie. Wilda was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Friends will be received Friday, January 24, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Pastor David Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
