untitled3 Floyd Wayne Craven Floyd Wayne Craven, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Louis A. Johnson V.A. Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born June 28, 1928 in Tallmansville, WV, a son of the late Henry James “Buck” and Madie Reed Craven. On November 22, 1951 he married Patricia Koon who survives. Also surviving is one son, Jeffrey Wayne Craven of Clarksburg, WV; one daughter, Janette Craven Johnson of Valley Bend, WV; one sister, Marjorie Craven Miles of Buckhannon; one nephew, Eric Miles and wife Barbara of Sandyville, WV; two nieces, Sherry de Rosset and husband Wayne of Glenville, WV and Crystal Goodwin and husband Mark of Clarksburg one brother in law, Robin Koon and wife Betty of Richmond, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son in law, Rick Johnson. Mr. Craven was a truck driver for Union Carbide. He served in the US Army and US National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. He was a member of Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion. He attended First Baptist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 4-7 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Billee Scott Mick officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
