untitled1 Eva Louise Channell Eva Louise Channell, age 83, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Mansfield Place in Philippi, WV. She was born June 28, 1927 in Philippi, a daughter of the late Asa Parker and Ida Jane Smith Ware. On April 22, 1944 she married Junior “Cat” Channell who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Franklin Channell and wife Linda of Morgantown, WV, Ronald Channell and wife Terri of Clarksburg, WV and Donald “Bill” Channell and wife Martha of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Beth Wickline and husband Robert of Lindside, WV, Lori Channell of Seattle, WA and Michele Bailey and husband Kevin of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Michael Channell and wife Amanda of Buckhannon, Shawn Channell of Boston, MA and Brian Christopher Channell and wife Angie of Morgantown; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillian “Rose” Channell and husband Nelson of Grosse Pointe, MI and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edgar Ware and five sisters, Texie Swecker, Arizona Arbogast, Laverne Ware, Virgie Gibson and Ethel Channell. Mrs. Channell was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, doing word puzzles, crochet and an active member in the Heaston United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Ellen Finegan, the Rev. Robert King and the Rev. George Bramble officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
