Obituary of Billy Joe Arnold

ArnoldBillyJoe Billy Joe Arnold, Sr. Billy Joe Arnold, Sr., age 72, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, June 14, 2007 at his home. He was born September 3, 1934 in Suncrest, WV, a son of the late Alexander and Francis Irene Wamsley Arnold. On November 24, 1956 he married Shirley Mae Matheny who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Billy Joe Arnold and wife Cheryl of Buckhannon, Kelly W. Arnold and wife Melinda of Rock Cave, WV and Jerry L. Arnold and wife Dawn of French Creek, WV; one daughter, Crystal D. Brown of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Kevin Arnold of Rock Cave, Joseph and Nicholas Arnold both of Buckhannon, Dakota Arnold of French Creek and Steven Brown of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Marlana Ringer and husband Josh of Buckhannon, Shanda Orsburn and husband Matthew of Buckhannon, Shayla Arnold of French Creek and Megan Arnold of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Nathaniel Ringer of Buckhannon; two great-granddaughters, Cadence Ringer of Buckhannon and Rhianna Orsburn of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Arnold was a construction worker, a member of the Rock Cave Baptist Church and the Banks Vol. Fire Department. Friends will be received Sunday, June 17, 2007 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM at the funeral home with Rev. David Jessie officiating.
