Richard Burr A private memorial service will be held at a later date Richard Darrell Burr, Sr. Richard Darrell Burr, Sr., age 75, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, March 14, 2015 at his home in Buckhannon. He was born July 16, 1939 in Upshur Co., WV, a son of the late Edward and Mabel Smith Burr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Wagner; three brothers, Tony, Bob and Junior Burr and four sisters Geraldine McCartney, JoAnn Jones and twin sisters, Mary Burr and Martha Lewis. He is survived by the mother of his children, Thelma Arlene (Ulm) Adams of Hodgesville, WV. Also surviving are four daughters, Julia Cunningham and husband Philip of Weston, WV, Rhonda Brooks and husband Randy of Ivy, WV, Tina Bowman and husband Billy of Buckhannon and Angi Hyre of Charleston, WV; three sons, Rodney Burr and wife Marjorie of Camden, WV, Frank Burr and wife Amy of Buckhannon and Richard Burr, Jr. and wife Theresa of Hagerstown, MD; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Burr of French Creek, WV and five sisters, Sue Isabella and Imogene Donley both of OH, Faye Black and Jenny Reed both of French Creek, WV and Helen Heater of Buckhannon. Mr. Burr was an Equipment Operator for WV Dept. of Highways and several years at the French Creek Game Farm. He was a member of the Laurel Fork United Methodist Church. A private memorial service will be held at the Laurel Fork Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
