Helma Brockleman Helma Brockleman Helma Brockleman, age 98, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Serenity Care Home in Buckhannon. She was born December 30, 1916 in Upshur Co., WV, a daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy Pulliam Slaughter. On September 29. 1938 she married Wayne Brockleman who preceded her in death on February 11, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dane and Gene Slaughter and one sister, Melba Lee Hollen. Surviving are one son, Gary Brockleman and wife Sheila of Buckhannon, WV; one grandson, Todd Brockleman and wife Debora of Buckhannon; two great grandsons, Luke and Jess Brockleman both of Buckhannon; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Dale “Turtle” Davis of Weston, WV, Joanne Loudin of Kent, OH and Barbara Slaughter of Lovettsville, VA; one brother-in-law, Leon Rastle of Weston and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brockleman was a homemaker and attended the Tallmansville Baptist Church. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
