Roger C. Williams II Roger C. Williams II Roger C. Williams II, age 42, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at his home. He was born April 19, 1973 in Buckhannon, a son of Gary V. and Frances May Williams of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he is survived by his fiancée, Peggy Landis of Tallmansville, WV; one brother, Gary Scott Williams and wife Vickie of Buckhannon; three nephews, Tyler, Nathan and Seth Williams all of Buckhannon and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Roger attended Chapel Hill UMC in Buckhannon. He graduated from BUHS with the Class of 1991 and then attended WVWC. Roger courageously fought many health issues for most of his life but kept his spirits high. Even though he was blind, Roger was a computer “wiz” and loved to play computer games. He also enjoyed the descriptive narration in movies and TV shows. Roger was an office volunteer at Central Public School and spoke to the children about guide dogs. Friends will be received Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Helen Oates officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Memorials may be made in Roger’s name to Leader Dogs for the Blind 1039 S. Rochester Rd. Rochester, MI 48307 or at www.leaderdog.org.
