untitled2 Sylvia Jean Wolford Sylvia Jean Wolford, age 69, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her home. She was born August 22, 1941 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Robert and Clara Smith Beckner. On October 7, 1960 she married Thomas Wolford who survives. Also surviving are five sons, Robert Wolford and wife Densie, Terry Lynn Wolford and wife Pamela Dawn, Larry Wolford and wife Helen, Gary Wolford and Carroll Wolford and wife Betty all of Buckhannon; three daughters, Sylvia Wolford of Elkview, WV, Tanya Wolford of Buckhannon and Vinnie Ables and husband Donnie of Buckhannon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five brothers, Rev. Roger, Barry, Ronnie, Randy and Jackie Beckner all of Buckhannon and two sisters, Diane Thompson of Cleveland, OH and Anita Harris of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Wolford, Jr.; two daughters, Patricia Ann Wolford and Debra Jean Wolford; two brothers, Robert Lee and Jerry Beckner and one sister, Susan Augustine. Mrs. Wolford was a homemaker. Friends will be received Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 4-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Beckner officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV.
