untitled1 Betty L. Watson Betty L. Watson, age 82, of Elkhart, IN died Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart. She was born January 25, 1928 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late Alva Harrison and Reta P. Hyre Smith. On February 12, 1945 she married Herman Thomas Watson who preceded her in death on April 21, 1991. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, James, Robert and Harold Smith and three sisters, Lucile and Rosalee Smith and Dorothy Weekley. She is survived by one daughter, Connie Burr of Buckhannon; two sons, Thomas Watson and wife Rosemary of Elkhart and Herman Junior Watson and wife Barbara of Jane Lew, WV; one sister, Hilda Lee of Buckhannon; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Watson was a homemaker. Friends will be received Thursday, November 25, 2010 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
