untitled1 James T. West James T. West, age 81, of Waycross, GA died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Warner Robins Rehabilitation Center in Warner Robins, GA. He was born April 23, 1928 in Moundsville, WV a son of the late Dr. J.B. and Gladys Shreve West. He is survived by one brother, Charles J. West and wife Marguerite of Waycross; niece, Jewel Wilbanks and husband Michael of Comer, GA; nephew, Charles B. West and wife Cindy of Brookfield, GA and several great nieces and nephews. Mr. West was an engineer for the US Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, he was also a member of Franklin Lodge # 7 AF & AM of Buckhannon, Grand Lodge of WV AF & AM, Upshur County Chapter # 34 Royal Arch Masons, Monroe Scottish Rite in Monroe, Louisiana and a Shriner. He was installed as Exalted Ruler of Waycross Elks Lodge # 369 of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks for year 1994-1995. James enjoyed antique cars and spending time with people. Franklin Lodge # 7 AF & AM will conduct Masonic graveside rites at 2 PM on Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Buckhannon Memorial Mausoleum in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40502-1204, indicate acknowledgement to Charles West, PO Box 925 Waycross, GA 31502.
