untitled1 Marilyn C. Phillips Marilyn C. Phillips, age 70, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Serenity Care Home under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice. She was born May 1, 1939 in Mill Creek, WV, a daughter of the late Remson and Naomi Wamsley Cutright. On August 12, 1955 she married Don Phillips who preceded her in death on August 20, 2000 after forty-five years of marriage. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela C. Phillips and one sister, Patricia Eileen Fincham. She is survived by two sons, Michael and Timothy Phillips both of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Bradley Phillips of Charleston, SC and Matthew E. Phillips of Mill Creek, WV; two sisters, Sharon Channel of Newton Falls, OH and Linda Smith and husband Keith of Cleveland, OH and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Phillips was retired after 23 years, as a cashier for Kroger’s in Buckhannon. She was a homemaker and protestant by faith. Friends will be received Friday, May 22, 2009 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. B. Glen Rader and the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
