She was born October 11, 1912 in Tallmansville, WV, a daughter of the late Cain and Ellen Tenney Wilfong. On May 3, 1933 she married Guy S. Warner who preceded her in death on December 1, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband, Frantie was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Mary Katherine Wilfong; four brothers, Opha, Emerson, Carroll and Coleman Wilfong and five sisters, Ora Bennett, Myrtle Hornbeck and Ethel, Addie Mae and Reta Pearl Wilfong. She is survived by three daughters, Marlene Ledbetter of Buckhannon, Ethel Miller of Hunker, PA and Arlena Marple and husband Monzell of Hackers Creek, WV; two grandsons, Guy Russell Miller of Charleston, SC and Mark Marple of Hackers Creek; three granddaughters, Linda Smail of Smithton, PA, Jacqueline Bennett of Hodgesville, WV and Datha Diane Powers of Hodgesville; four great grandsons, Brian Miller of Charlotte, NC, Jeremy Bennett of Lawrenceville, IL, Ian Smail of Philadelphia, PA and Steven Powers of Hodgesville and four great granddaughters, Amanda Miller of Charlotte, Samantha Leput of Cumberland, MD, Danielle Powers of Hodgesville and Chelsea Smail of Smithton. She was a homemaker and restaurant cook. Friends will be received Monday, February 2, 2009 from 4 to 7 PM at Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 10 AM with Rev. Wease Day officiating. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
