WaughJohn Visitation Sunday, February 4,2007 12 - 2:00 PM Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Funeral Sunday, February 4, 2007 2 PM Funeral Home Burial Pleasant Dale Church Cemetery Selbyville, WV John Carl Waugh John Carl Waugh, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at his home. He was born March 20, 1920 in Sago, WV, a son of the late Dewey and Georgia Crites Waugh. On July 10, 1948 he married Retha B. Williams who preceded him in death on December 18, 2006. John was also preceded in death by a brother, Lee Waugh. Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Hudak of Buckhannon; a grandson, John Paul Hudak of Buckhannon; a sister, Sue Douglas of Freedom, PA and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Waugh was a retired steel worker for the American Bridge Company, served in the US Army in World War II, was a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor and was a member of Buckhannon VFW Post #3663. Friends will be received Sunday, February 4, 2007 from 12 to 2:00 PM at the Poling- St.Clair Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Beryl McKisic officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery at Selbyville, WV. VFW Post #3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post #7 American Legion, and DAV chapters #5 and #36 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
