Lucywilmoth Lucy M. Wilmoth Lucy M. Wilmoth, age 93, of Volga, WV died Thursday, January 4, 2007 at her home. She was born July 16, 1913 in Gilmer County, WV, a daughter of the late Denny and Beulah Robinson Canter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Roscoe Wilmoth who died on February 12, 1974; one son, William “Buck” Wilmoth; three daughters, Helen Wilmoth, Barbara Green and Wilma Ellyson; three grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by one grandson, James O. Wilmoth and wife Michelle of Buckhannon who took care of her; four brothers, Doc Canter, Jack Canter and Gay Canter all of Buckhannon and Bill Canter of Volga; four sisters, Teressa Neuzman of Buckhannon, Jote Fitzgerald; Betty Bowman and Jean Claypool both of Buckhannon; daughter in law, Scottie Ables and husband John of Buckhannon; nine grandchildren; two step granddaughters; one step grandson; twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Wilmoth was a homemaker. Friends will be received Saturday, January 6, 2007 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Pam Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery at Hodgesville, WV.
