untitled3 Mary Elizabeth Veith Mary Elizabeth Veith, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born September 10, 1928 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Waitman and Mary Regester Tenney. On April 12, 1951 she married Tye V. Veith who preceded her in death on August 4, 1977. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Thurman, Roscoe and Robert Tenney and three sisters, Pauline Collins, Heloise Tenney and Nellie Crites. She is survived by one son, Danny Lee Chewning and wife Barbara of Buckhannon; one daughter, Sandra Payne and husband Mason of Volga, WV; two grandsons, Donald Chewning and wife Annette of Camp Hill, PA and Lucas Payne and wife Aimee of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Nicolette Radcliff of Buckhannon; two great-grandsons, Bailey Chewing of Buckhannon and Thomas Kotkin of Camp Hill; two great-granddaughters, Brianna Kotkin of Camp Hill and McKenna Radcliff of Buckhannon; one sister-in-law, Pauline Shafford and husband Donald of Lago Vista, TX and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Veith was a homemaker and a member of the Tallmansville Baptist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 1-2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, WV.
