Obituary of Garnet Post

PostlGarnet Garnet Post Garnet Post, age 94, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at her home. She was born February 26, 1914 in Braxton County, WV, a daughter of the late James and Sarah Cayton Williams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Basil W. McCoy; three sisters, Mamie Dobbins, Rose Foster and Mary Williams and two brothers, Charles and Johnnie Williams. She is survived by daughter, Lucille M. Blake of Buckhannon; daughter and caregiver, Mabel Reed and husband Carl of Buckhannon; one son, Albert Dunn of Manassas, VA; two granddaughters, Susan Winslow and husband Steve of Philippi, WV and Susan Deremer and husband Bob of Cumberland and three great-grandchildren, Chelsea, John and Chris Winslow of WV. Mrs. Post was a housewife and a Methodist by faith. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Friends will be received Saturday, June 21, 2008 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Poling officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
