untitled1 Melvin Mack Uncapher Melvin Mack Uncapher, age 88, of Massillon, OH died Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Mercy Medical Center in Canton, OH. He was born November 19, 1920 in Coral, PA, a son of the late Lawrence and Rachel Ferrier Uncapher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, L. Marian Frye Uncapher, who died May 24, 1979 and two sons, Melvin Marshall and Phillip Arthur Uncapher. He is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Ketler and husband Darrell of Massillon, Rachael Taylor of Pearidge, AR, Faith Grant of Massillon and Loretta Decker of Watertown, NY; one daughter-in-law Wanda Uncapher of St. Albans, WV; one son, Robert (Bob) Uncapher of Volga, WV; twenty-eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren and one sister, Tilly Mack of PA. Mr. Uncapher was a pipe fitter, a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Buckhannon and served in the US Army during World War II. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM, Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM, Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Barbour County Post # 44 American Legion and the WV National Guard will conduct military honors at the gravesite. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
