Obituary of Leonard Earl Tenney

Leonard Earl Tenney Leonard Earl Tenney Leonard Earl Tenney, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Crestview Manor in Jane Lew, WV. He was born October 13, 1934 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Albert and Laura Grace Potts Tenney. On August 16, 1977 he married Margaret Tenney who preceded him in death on October 25, 2000. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter Laura Tenney; one grandson, William “Punky” Taylor; three brothers, Elvin, Eldon and Lloyd Tenney and three sisters, Nelda Lantz, Thelma Tenney and Dora Marie Brown. Surviving are three daughters, Tina M. Bailey and husband Brian of Jane Lew, Tammy Carroll of Buckhannon and Tonya Smith and husband Rocky of Elkins, WV; two sons, Mark Branson and wife Pam and Michael Branson and wife Cindy all of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Brandon Smith and wife Amanda of Elkins and Nathaniel Carroll of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Rodnitta Miller and husband Tim and Leah Branson all of Buckhannon; three great grandsons, Dorian Phillips and CJ Carroll both of Buckhannon and Brayden Smith of Elkins; one great granddaughter, Alaina Phillips Buckhannon; brother, Joseph Tenney and wife Judy of Buckhannon; two sisters, Oleta Watts of Evans, GA and Sue Wamsley and husband Doug of Ellamore, WV; two sisters-in-law, Eloise Tenney of Buckhannon and Leverne Tenney of Marietta, OH and one brother-in-law, Harley Brown of Buckhannon. Mr. Tenney was a landscaper for Buckhannon Country Club. Friends will be received Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor David Jessie officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery in Buckhannon.
