Obituary of Paul L. Bean

untitled3 Paul L. Bean Paul L. Bean, age 81, of Rock Cave, WV died Monday, April 29, 2013 at his home. He was born October 24, 1931 in Rock Cave, a son of the late Robert M. and Leafy Cutright Bean. On December 21, 1968 he married Ruby A. Thomas who preceded him in death on March 6, 2004. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two sons, Garry Eastridge and Tom Bean; one daughter, Beverly Abel and six brothers, Virgil, Mayford, Margil, Don, Chubby and Burl Bean. He is survived by two sons; Steve Bean of Fairmont and Robert Bean; three daughters, Diana Bean, Yvonne Shuey and husband Randy of Bumpass, VA and Yvette Pappas and husband Lee of Rock Cave; six granddaughters, Alison Eastridge and fiancé William of Spotsylvania, VA, Alicha Eastridge of Somerset, KY, Brittany Shuey of Bumpass, Sarah and Samantha Pappas both of Rock Cave and Kaitlyn Bean of Fairmont; three grandsons, Michael Abel and wife Jennifer of Woodbridge, VA, Joshuah Bean of Fairmont and Christopher Pappas of Rock Cave; three great granddaughters, Hailey Hodge of Somerset, Danielle and Kiley Eastridge both of Bumpass; one great grandson, Andrew Abel of Woodbridge; one brother, Dale Bean and wife Margie of Rock Cave and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bean served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Southern States and attended the Rock Cave Baptist Church in Rock Cave. He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the NRA. Friends will be received Friday, May 3, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the Rock Cave Baptist Church with Pastor David Jessie and the Rev. Don Bean officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Cave Cemetery in Rock Cave.
