untitled1 Emma L. Tenney Emma L. Tenney, age 91, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at her home. She was born February 25, 1918 at Falls Mill, WV a daughter of the late Frantz and Luverna Cobb Veith. On October 15, 1941 she married James Arthur Tenney who preceded her in death on June 10, 1986. She is survived by one stepson Brady Tenney of Phoenix, AZ; one stepdaughter, Lillian Spurgeon of Morgantown, WV; 13 step grandchildren; one sister Naomi Harlow of Buckhannon; and many nieces, nephews and special friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four sisters Rosa Knicely, Vergie Hamilton, Nora Black and Ruth Martin and five brothers, Oliver, Okey, Ray, Fred and Grant Veith. Mrs. Tenney was a bookkeeper for the State of West Virginia and a member of the Sago Baptist Church in Sago, WV. Friends will be received Friday, October 16, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
