Walter Lee Brady, age 67, of Buckhannon, WV, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at his home. He was born August 24, 1945 in Randolph County, WV, a son of the late Ben and Nancy Tenney Brady. On September 12, 1970 he married Kay Young who survives. Also surviving are one son, Walter Lee Brady, II and wife Christina of Buckhannon; two daughters, Angela D. White of Buckhannon and Allison M. Groves and husband Bert A. of Bunker Hill, WV; six grandsons, Bud Weaver, Joshua White, Jaryon Brady and Cameron Brady, all of Buckhannon and Andrew and Owen Groves, both of Bunker Hill; three granddaughters,, Samantha Burnside and husband Michael, Stephanie Weaver and Trayka Hinchman, all of Buckhannon; one great-granddaughter, Delilah Burnside of Buckhannon; three brothers, Everette and Jerry Brady, both of Buckhannon and Larry Gene Brady of Rock Cave, WV and four sisters, Sheila Loudin and Sue Grubb, both of Ellamore, WV, Cleona Bennett of Buckhannon and Jane Hartley of Weston, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Brady. Mr. Brady was a truck driver for Phoenix Drilling. He was a Christian by faith and he also served in the US Army. Friends will be received Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 1-2 PM at the Salem Ridge United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday at the church with Pastor Jimmy Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Ridge Church Cemetery in Rock Cave, WV. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion and DAV Chapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside.
