Obituary of Collene J. Tenney

Collene Tenney Collene J. Tenney Collene J. Tenney, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, October 2, 2006 at Talbott’s Personal Care in Belington, WV. She was born September 11, 1928 in Cassidy, WV, a son of the late Rudolph and Ina Osburn Miller. On June 5, 1946 she married Myron D. Tenney who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Dennis Leo Tenney and wife Chrystalyn of Greenwood, SC, Eugene Tenney and wife Arawana of Buckhannon and William Paul Tenney and wife Connie of Buckhannon; one grandson, Robert Paul Tenney of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Lisa McCullough and husband Eric of Clarksburg, WV and Bridget Walker and husband Sean of Chengdu, China; three great-granddaughters, Ashley McCullough, Lydia and Rachel Walker and one great-grandson, Ethan Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Alverta Lamb and Cleo Brown. Mrs. Tenney was a homemaker and a member of Nays Chapel. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery at Tallmansville, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
