Obituary of Clara D. Aylestock

AylestockClara Clara D. Aylestock Clara Doone Aylestock, age 78, of Berryville, VA died Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Aylestock was born June 1, 1930 in Staunton, VA, a daughter of the late Hall Thompson, Sr. and Ora May McKay Thompson. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. On October 21, 1950 she married Harold Joe Aylestock who survives. Also, surviving are a daughter, Diana Aylestock of Front Royal, VA; two sons, Douglas Aylestock and wife Lois of Berryville, VA and Dan Aylestock of Springfield, VA; three sisters, Arlene Conaway of Martinsburg, WV, Shirley Wise of OH and Thelma Parker of Springfield; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Hall Thompson, Jr. Friends will be received Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 1-2 PM the funeral hour at the Sago Baptist Church with the Rev. Wease Day and the Rev. Mike Aylestock officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
