Thomas Michael “Tom” Stump
Thomas Michael “Tom” Stump, age 47, of Napier, WV died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his home while under the care of Hospice Care Corp. of Braxton County. He was born November 28, 1967 in Buckhannon, WV, a son of Frederick Eugene and Mary Ann Casella Stump of Buckhannon. On July 4, 1992 he married Marcella Gail Blagg who survives. In addition to his parents and wife he is survived by two sons, Mark Peck and wife Kelli of the US Army and Patrick Peck of Lewisburg, WV; one daughter, Natasha Ruano and husband Evilio of Fairfax, VA; three granddaughters, Paige, Roslyn and Franchesca Ruano all of Fairfax; one grandson, Alden Peck of the US Army; two brothers, Tony Stump and wife Martha of Marietta, OH and David Stump and wife Rachel of Buckhannon; one sister, Deborah Ann Stump of Gulf Breeze, FL; two very special nieces, Nina Stump of Buckhannon and Jennifer Murray of Weston, WV; father in law, George Blagg of Killbuck, OH and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, Anthony and Lena Casella; his paternal grandparents, Ted and Manoka Stump; one brother, Tim Stump; mother in law, Mildred Blagg and sister in law, Charlene Stump. Mr. Stump served in the U.S. Coast Guard, was a Security Guard for Victory Securities and a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Buckhannon. The family would like to send a special thanks to Pastor Brian, Dr. Sally Stewart and all the nurses of hospice care and Father Rene Gerona for their loving care and support. Friends will be received Monday, July 27, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Tuesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Buckhannon with Father Ron Nikodem, S.M. officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Bend Cemetery in Sago, WV. The Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the graveside. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation 1004-A O’Reilly Ave. San Francisco, CA 94129 or myotonic.org.
