Douglas Gilbert Simons Douglas Gilbert Simons Douglas Gilbert Simons, age 51, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his home. He was born October 15, 1963 in Washington, D.C., a son of the late Melvin Simons and Patricia Martin Simons of Buckhannon. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Crystal Simons of Buckhannon and one brother Brad Simons and wife Valerie of Centerville, VA. Mr. Simons served in the U.S. Army as Military Police. For 22 years Douglas was a Virginia State Trooper in Northern Virginia. He was Deputy Sheriff Pro Officer.
