Obituary of Angela Doris Shaffer

Angela Shaffer Angela Doris Shaffer Angela Doris Shaffer, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born September, 12, 1926 in Anmoore, WV, a daughter of the late Ulysses Grant and Catherine Elaine Brothers Bennett. On November 19, 1947 she married Charles Virgil Shaffer who survives. Also surviving is one daughter, Diane Kimble and husband Wayne of Buckhannon; one son, William Wayne Shaffer and wife Sandy of Union City, PA; five granddaughters, Anna Leigh Kimble and fiancé’ Craig McClung of Jane Lew, WV, Ella Marie Hicks and husband Matt of Virginia Beach, VA, Angela, Jennifer and Elizabeth Shaffer all of Union City; three grandsons, James “Jimmy” Kimble and wife Collette of Volga, WV, Charles E. Shaffer, II and Patrick Wayne Shaffer of Union City; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Gay L. Bennett and wife Joann of Butler, PA and one sister, JoAnne Smith of Milton, FL. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Charles Edward Shaffer; one granddaughter, Catherine Shaffer; one great-grandchild and three brothers, Marshall J., Willard John and Richard Bennett. Mrs. Shaffer was a Store Clerk for GC Murphy Company. She was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Also a member of the Kesling Mill Lions Club, an active member of the Triple T. Camper’s Club. She loved her Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Shaffer loved spending time with family and was always proud of their accomplishments no matter how big or small and she also loved to crochet. Friends will be received Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Helen Oates officiating. Burial will be in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
