Alice Ann Auskings Smith Visitation Saturday, January 10, 2015 11 AM- 1 PM Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Funeral Service Saturday, January 10, 2015 1 PM Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Alice Ann Auskings Smith Alice Ann Auskings Smith, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, January 5, 2015 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born September 21, 1933 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Earnest and Virginia Maxson Auskings. On May 7, 1951 she married Leslie Hayward Smith who preceded her in death on August 12, 2000. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Deborah and Pamela Smith; one grandson, Leslie “Lee” Smith, III; five sisters, Margaret Auskings Beckner, Mary Lee Burnside, Varian Simons and Jean and June Auskings and three brothers, Arthur, Jack and Milton Auskings. She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Smith and fiancé Edwin Jackson of Adrian, WV; two sons, Leslie Smith, Jr., and wife Debbie of Harold, KY and Richard Smith and wife Dianna of Lackey, KY; seven granddaughters, Judy Ann Smith and husband James of Buckhannon, Rose Anna Smith of Charleston, WV, Cheridan Corley, Mikaela Corley Merriman and husband Mark all of Adrian, WV, Leslee Corley of Buckhannon, Kimberly Hall Prater and husband Jon of KY and Stephanie Hall of KY; nine grandsons, Richard Smith, Jr. of Buckhannon, Robert Smith of Charleston, WV, John Corley, II, Tristan Corley and Hakan Tenney all of Adrian, Jonathan Grubb of Buckhannon, Justin Hall, Shane Hall and Terry Hall all of KY; five great-granddaughters, Alicia Smith, Shynna Casada and Victoria Wagner and husband Andrew all of Buckhannon, Abrianna Smith of Charleston and Lilith Peck of Adrian; five great-grandsons, William Cole IV, Brian Smith and Cason Heater all of Buckhannon and Hunter and Treyton Merriman both of Adrian; one great-great grandson, William Cole V; one great-great granddaughter, Shydan Hedgecoth; and two brothers, Wayne Auskings and wife Armeta and Lawrence Auskings and wife Sherry all of Buckhannon. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. Friends will be received Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 11 AM-1PM the funeral hour at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with Pastor Kara Phillippi officiating.
