SmithRoger Roger Neal Smith Roger Neal Smith, age 46, of Byrnedale, PA died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk Hospital in St. Mary’s, PA. He was born August 2, 1968 in Buckhannon, WV, a son of Delena L. Smith of Buckhannon and the late Robert Harrison Smith. On August 14, 1999 he married Tammy Benson Smith who survives. Also surviving is a son, Jonathan Smith of Byrnedale; two daughters, Rebecca Benson and Krystal Smith both of Byrnedale; two sisters, Diann Baum of Buckhannon and Janie Hamner of Rock Cave, WV and one brother, Ronnie Smith of Buckhannon. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one sister, Delena Marie Smith. Roger enjoyed hunting and racing. He was a member of the pit crew for BMC Racing and the B & S Tractor Pulling Team. Roger was a Die Setter for Eastern Sintered Alloy. Friends will be received Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 1-3 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon. A funeral service will be held 3 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses.
