Betty June Santee Betty June Reed Talbott Santee Betty June Reed Talbott Santee, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Serenity Care Home in Buckhannon She was born July 22, 1925 in Tallmansville, WV, a daughter of the late Junior Curtis and Willa Maude Davis Reed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilson Talbott and her second husband, James Santee. Surviving are two sons, Alan Talbott and wife Sharon of Buckhannon and Dr. John David Talbott of Petoskey, MI; two grandsons, Isaac “Ike” Talbott of Buckhannon and Taylor Talbott of Petoskey; two granddaughters, Morgan Talbott of Petoskey and Sally Talbott of Fort Bragg, NC and two best friends, Sylvia Shrader and Lynn Warner and husband Joe all of Buckhannon. Mrs. Santee was a Christian by faith. Betty was a Biology teacher at Buckhannon-Upshur High School, a member of the D.A.R., an avid artist, she loved to sew and ride horses. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 1 PM at the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon with Pastor Donnie Atkins officiating, should anyone want to attend.
