Ervin Skinner Ervin Fray "Big" Skinner Ervin Fray Skinner, age 84, of the Hall Rd in Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his home under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice. He was born March 9, 1929 in Braxton Co., WV, a son of the late Earse and Clara McCauley Skinner. On July 26, 1950 he married Madaline Cunningham who preceded him in death on July 1, 2012. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Bartlett, three brothers, Fay, Jimmy and Ray Skinner and one infant brother, Francis Skinner. He is survived by three sisters, Rena Posey and husband Richard of Orlando, WV, Veda Cantrell of Jane Lew, WV and Gae Luzader and husband Clarron of Windham, OH and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Skinner served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 32 years as a plant manager at General Motors in Cleveland, OH. Ervin was also a retired member of UAW Local 1005 in Ohio, a lifelong farmer and he loved his Bluegrass music. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 11, 2014 in the Quickle Cemetery in Burnsville, WV with the Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating.
