Obituary of Anna Mae Robinson

Anna Mae Robinson, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, December 30, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born May 12, 1936, in Gilmer County, WV, a daughter of the late John Wesley and Elma Opal Spore Exline. On January 30, 1999, she married Dale Lloyd Robinson who preceded her in death on July 28, 2002. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Russell Robinson; two granddaughters, Ashley and Talena Alkire; one grandson, Russell Robinson; five brothers, William, James, Eugene, Grant, and Eddie Exline and two sisters, Phoebe Exline and Cora Linger. She is survived by two daughters, Elma L. Robinson White and Debra Robinson Haney both of Buckhannon; four sons, Eddie Robinson and wife Norma from Branson, MO, and Dale Longanetta, Robert Robinson and Lloyd Robinson and wife Janine all of Buckhannon; five granddaughters, Anna Marie McKinley, Brenna Robinson, Francesca Johnson and husband Mark, Lisa Nicholson, and Emma Alkire all of Buckhannon and 11 grandsons, Joshua Heater and wife Christina and Charlie Longanetta and wife Chelsey all of Clarksburg, WV, and Tyler Nice, Leslie Alkire and girlfriend Morgan Yoak, Dustin Haney, Justin Robinson, Russell Alkire, Jonathan Alkire, Lee Robinson, Michael Robinson, and Josh Howell all of Buckhannon. Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker and attended New Life Tabernacle Church in Buckhannon. She enjoyed working puzzles, watching wrestling – especially Samuel, and loved going to church. Anna also enjoyed singing and dancing. Friends will be received Monday, January 6, 2025, from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the New Life Tabernacle Church with Pastor Jeff Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery in Hodgesville, WV. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
