untitled1 Alicia Jane Smith Alicia Jane Smith, age 77, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born May 3, 1932 in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late William Lomas, Sr. and Celina Fielding Lomas. On June 17, 1967 she married Charles Augustus Smith who preceded her in death on June 16, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one aunt, Agnes Clara Smith Haddix; one uncle Atha Haddix; three brothers, Everett Lomas, Fred Fielding Lomas and William Lomas, Jr.; one sister, Betty Lou Lomas Kerns and one nephew, Roy Reinsmith. She is survived by one brother, Harold Lomas of Wallace, MI; special cousin, Jim and Joann Bennett and their children of Buckhannon; many nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker. She was a Baptist by Faith. She also liked to walk, watch TV and spend time with her friends and neighbors. A Special Thanks to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center of Morgantown and Holbrook’s Nursing Home. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 1-2 PM the funeral hour with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Church Cemetery at Audra, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
