Jackie “Jack” Abraham Lewis

Jackie “Jack” Abraham Lewis, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 16, 1945, in Dailey, WV, a son of the late Hartsel and Audrey Thomas Lewis. On June 8, 1968, he married Sharon Riggleman who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Jacqueline Campbell and husband Glenn of Buckhannon; one son, Jeffrey Lewis and wife Katrinia of Buckhannon; five grandchildren, Tesla Lewis of Buckhannon, Cody Herbert of Clarksville, TN, and Edward III, Erica, and Kaylia Burnside all of Buckhannon; one brother, David Lewis of Teter, WV; one sister, Joyce Riley and husband Marion of Buckhannon and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, many of whom called him Grandpa. Mr. Lewis was a member of the National Guard and a Volunteer Firefighter for the Buckhannon Fire Department. Jack worked at Corhart Refractories and had a passion for building things. This passion led him to found and own Jack Lewis Builders. Friends will be received for a Celebration of Life memorial gathering on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 1 PM to 5 PM at the Riverbend Golf Course located at 591 Evun Breth Acres in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jack’s memory to the Buckhannon Fire Department. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
